"Without Men" is a Latin comedy, starred Eva Longoria and Christian Slater, is based on "Tales From the City of Widows" the world's best-selling book by James Canon and will be directed by Gabriela Tagliavini.
In this film Longoria role as leader of a group of women in a remote village in Latin America who are forced to fend for themselves after their men went to fight in the civil war. A battle ensued between the sexes when the men returned and tried to reclaim their power.
Executive producer Nathan Folks explained in a recent interview: "Through humor and fantasy, the story does not just drown us in a world of magical realism, but also deals with important issues of identity and role of women in society in a very comedic. "
In addition to Longoria and Slater, comedian Paul Rodriguez, Oscar Nunez and Judy Reyes ("Scrubs") also joins Monica Huarte, Maria Conchita Alonso and Kate del Castillo as extras.
